Do you want to feel the excitement? Do you want to experience the thrill of advancing through a jungle filled with ravenous beasts that plunge mindlessly towards you just so that they can have a taste? Then Welcome to Jurassic Hopper!

You might be seeing a theme here, but mimicking Crossy Road's mechanism, Jurassic Hopper lets you hop around in a dangerous environment where prehistoric beasts have escaped their enclosures and roam around in search for prey.

Not to worry though. Your character is equipped with a weapon this time around. Besides hopping in four possible directions, you can fire in eight possible directions independently of movement. That makes you a fairly efficient dino killer. Especially since each dino only needs one shot to crumble into pieces (with some notable exceptions)

Each time you play there will be a random array of obstacles. From dense jungle with attached venom spitting dylophosauruses to raptor infested paddocks and gallimimus racetracks, you only have 4 life points to reach as far as possible.

Most hazards will rob you of one point at a time, but there are also some fatal hazards that include runaway electric cars and a hungry T-Rex.

The farther you get, the more experience you receive. This unlocks characters with more powerful weapons. For example, suddenly you will realise that you can clear the jungle with your gun. Quite handy in tight situations (unless you happen to stray in front of a stomping triceratops).

Conclusion

Ooh, Ahh. That's how it always starts. Then later there's running and screaming. Jurassic Hopper has a very simple premise and a very straightforward albeit random level design. It is slightly more complex than Crossy Road, and has a theme that should attract more fans.
